Currently, Fuse Fair Trade is a trunk show and a pop up shop. I want Fuse to have a storefront at the beach. The concept is global meets local. A communal space for people to come shop and learn. All products are handmade and fair trade from artisans in the developing country and from our home city, Jacksonville. Products range from scarves, purses, jewelry, hammocks, blankets, etc. Fuse will host one community event a month, such as documentary viewings, speakers, fair trade wine tasting. Fuse will be a cultural space where people can find information on volunteering, social issues, community events.
Project Showcase Proposal
A giant map of the world, hand drawn, connecting Jacksonville to all the countries where Fuse has product, by the product ie: scarves and jewelry. On each side of the map is clothes lines. Hanging by clothes pins are children's definitions of love, peace and how to change the world. A fun perspective to a serious world.

What city is your project based out of?
What sets your Project apart from what is currently available?
Fuse Fair Trade will be the only fair trade boutique in Jacksonville. Every piece of product has a story. When you buy from Fuse, you are receiving something and giving at the same time. All products are hand made and fair trade.
Why are you and your team the best people on the planet to handle this project?
I have raised a lot of money for charities and gone to third world countries to put the money to work. I have seen firsthand the amazing work that non-profit organizations are doing in the developing countries. Fuse is a combination of all the amazing organizations I have met doing really great work in the world ie: empowering women who have survived human trafficking, uplifting people in Kenya by becoming yoga teachers, teaching women who survived the 2004 tsunami in Thailand how to sew.
