Currently, Fuse Fair Trade is a trunk show and a pop up shop. I want Fuse to have a storefront at the beach. The concept is global meets local. A communal space for people to come shop and learn. All products are handmade and fair trade from artisans in the developing country and from our home city, Jacksonville. Products range from scarves, purses, jewelry, hammocks, blankets, etc. Fuse will host one community event a month, such as documentary viewings, speakers, fair trade wine tasting. Fuse will be a cultural space where people can find information on volunteering, social issues, community events.
The funding received will go towards opening up a fair trade boutique at the beaches. The money will be used as a start up fund to bring the current trunk shows to a stationary place. The boutique will be a communal space. We will host community events once a month. The storefront will be product from artisans around the world, including our city, Jacksonville. The grand vision is Global meets local. Every product has a story and when you purchase something from Fuse, you are literally funding a life and a passion of someone near or far. Funding will go towards rent, build out of the space and more product!
Project Showcase Proposal
A giant map of the world, hand drawn, connecting Jacksonville to all the countries where Fuse has product, by the product ie: scarves and jewelry. On each side of the map is clothes lines. Hanging by clothes pins are children's definitions of love, peace and how to change the world. A fun perspective to a serious world.
